Important installation notes for KLX140s:
  • New Clamps must be paired with inverted KX85 spec forks (will not work with OEM KLX140 forks).
  • Reuse the OEM Wheel, a KX85 wheel, or an aftermarket billet wheel of the same spec
  • Reuse the KLX140 brakes or you can upgrade to KX85 brakes for more stopping power. With KX85 spec inverted forks in place. the KX85’s front brake system will also drop in place. Replace the brake rotor, Caliper/pads, Master cylinder/lever, and brake line for a noticeable upgrade to your stopping power.
  • Modify your front fender to fit or bolt on a KX85 Front Fender
  • 2008-2009 – will need to relocate the ignition button/switch
  • Start with forks dropped down 1″
  • If you are over 160LBS you will want HD fork springs, stock 85cc springs will be too light.

  • Reuse OEM Top Stem Nut
  • Reuse OEM Top bearing/Race (Replace if needed)
